HeyTell Labs: Transcription
You are part of a select group that has been invited to try out HeyTell Message
Transcription! This is an experimental feature that transcribes your voice
messages into text as they are received.
When a message arrives, you'll receive two notifications - first an
alert, just like you do now. If you do not listen to the message
immediately, another notification will follow with the transcription.
Requirements:
- Latest version of HeyTell installed and running on an Android or iOS device.
- Make sure notifications are enabled:
- On iOS, open the Settings app, select Notifications, ensure it's set to On, then expand Notifications, expand HeyTell, and ensure that Badges, Alerts, and Sounds are set to
On.
- On Android, you must be running Android 2.2 or higher, be logged into your Gmail account on the phone, and have the Background Service enabled (open HeyTell, tap Menu > Profile, then ensure that Background Service is checked).
- Currently, only the English language is supported.
- You understand and agree to the following conditions:
By enabling message transcription within HeyTell, you are authorizing Voxilate, Inc.
and its transcription partners to access HeyTell messages you receive for the
purposes of transcribing messages, to track usage patterns and to improve the quality of the transcription service. If you are
unable to allow this, do not enable transcription. Note that you can stop the transcription and sharing
of your messages at any time by disabling transcription within HeyTell. To disable transcription, open
http://heytell.com/labs in the browser of your mobile device and click
Disable.
